It seems like ever since I’ve been using the Neutrogena Clean & Clear acne cream, my face has only gotten worse. I’ve been getting more breakouts and they seem to be lasting longer too. Is it possible?
I’d say that its definitely because of the face wash. I have naturally really clear skin and when I started washing it I started getting pimples and now I’ve stopped washing my face and I’ve stopped getting pimples. Just figure out what works for your face. If its bot naturally bad maybe you should just leave it alone.
what will i do to get rid of this scars on my face? any products you know that it will tightens my face skin? i heard bout obagi products but im scared to try. pls help me!!!!
Well unlike the poster above, I’ve had great success with Obagi. I can’t say it will take the scars away, but will give you much better skin elasticity and smoother skin. I’ve had laser too and I can’t say it helped my scars either. Cosmetic surgeons would lead you to believe laser and peels are the answer, but the truth is if your scars are as deep as the subcutaneous tissue, no amount of peeling or lasers will reduce them. Another option is something known as subcutaneous incision (subcision). This is where the surgeon/doctor uses a sharp instrument under the skin, to break up and release the scar tissue and then new collagen will raise the scar to the surface. Sometimes subcision in combination with a filler works best. Good luck : )
I’m 14 turning 15, and would like to know which skin or facial product is good for me. I would like to know the brand and the type too. I have a dried skin ( some =times my face is oily), and I’m allergic to Olay and Pond’s. I also would like to know any advise to make my skin and my face softer, healthier, or whiter (if possible). Such as put cuecumber or lemon on the face.
Hello,
I would recommend Ella Bache, If you go to a department store or a beauticians they will check out your skin ask you questions and then prescribe the correct product for your skin. Usually the diagnosis of your skin is free in a department store. The products are not cheap so ask them which one is the best etc some give you samples to try. I had perfect skin until my early 30’s when I got adult acne, I used my usual products which made it worse. Afriend recommended Bache and I never looked back. I have 2 teenagers 12 + 14 both have different skin types, when they get pimple etc we use creme intex 2 which we call fish paste because of the halibut oil, but i always have a jar. If you can get a jar of this from Bache it also helps with the oiliness when applied at night. They also have excellent creams and oils for dryness. Its never to early to start investing and caring for your skin good luck

I am looking at getting a new skin care routine. I am in my mid 30’s and have combination oily skin.
I love Clinique 7 Day Scrub. I’m 23 and use to have pretty bad laugh lines, I used it for a couple of weeks now there gone and my skin looks great. I really scrubbed hard and for as long as I could stand it.
I am starting a skin care routine and was wondering if I really need to shell out the money for brands such as Lancome, Clinique and Origins, or if Oil of Olay will provide me with the same results. I am looking for products that help even skin tone and give you a "glow", and also for under eye circles and nipping eye wrinkles in the bud. I am 22 and have normal skin. Thanks!!
id say no, just more expensive
Acne already is a very common skin condition which anyone at anytime can develop especially in children and teenagers all over the world. Acne is not usually considered to be a serious condition, which is why it is ignored and under treated most of the time. But that however is very wrong because acne can actually be a very serious problem for most teenagers. It can be very embarrassing, bothersome and stressful and leave most people very self conscious about it. Acne should be taken more seriously than most people take it to be and should be treated right when it is starting to develop to prevent it from getting worse.
There are lots of acne treatments out on the market today that you can probably find at your local pharmacy but the most common types of acne medication are over the counter drugs with benzoyl peroxide in it. The reason why benzoyl peroxide is so commonly used in acne treatment products is because it has the ability to kill bacteria, heal pimples and zits and it can unblock pores. There are many different types of treatments that contain benzoyl peroxide which include gels and creams. The best thing that you can do for your acne is to use the product with the highest strength of benzoyl peroxide that your face can handle.
Some other common medications used to treat acne other than benzoyl peroxide are sulfur and salicylic acid. Some products with benzoyl peroxide in it are Clearasil, oxy-10 fostex, persa gel, Neutrogena on the spot and clear skin regimen gel. Another common acne medication that would be highly recommended is ‘pro active cream’ which claims to give good results. With most acne treatment it will probably take a couple of weeks before you see a major improvement in your acne condition. These products can be used to treat both severe and minor cases of acne but would work relatively better on minor cases.
These over the counter drugs usually help to clear up most acne cases but if after several weeks of using the medication you do not see an improvement in your acne condition you may want to consider seeing a dermatologist to get some stronger prescription drugs, but don’t be too fast to say that the product you are using is not working because acne usually gets worse before getting better and it may also take up to 3-6 weeks before you see any improvement in your acne.

Well i have a bunch of acne scabs on my forehead…they arent like from blood or cuts, just extremely dry skin from where i popped some zits…but i also have acne around them so i covered my entire forehead with benzoyl peroxide cream…would that help or make the scabs worse?? i need to get rid of this crap by sunday…
Not sure, The citric acid in lemon has properties that can kill harmful bacteria present in acne. A paste of orange peels also cleanses the skin and fights harmful bacteria.Log on to http://tipsfromruby-acne.blogspot.com/ for a few home made tips to heal acne
Hello,
I usually use Obagi #3 Clear (skin corrector cream) w/ hydroquinone, but I recently found out that I am pregnant and I stopped using the cream because I was afraid that hydroquinone might have a negative effect. Does anybody know if hydroquinone is not recommended for pregnant women? Can anybody recommend a skin bleaching/lightening cream (for hyperpigmentation) that is safe to use on pregnant women? Are kojic and glycolic acid safe? Can somebody please let me know what is safe and good to use while pregnant? Can you please give me a specific product name because I really want to purchase one? Thank you so much in advance for your help!!
I also use Obagi and have worked in the field for many years. The answer is no, you cannot use any of the steps except for #1 (the cleanser), #2 (the toner), and #6 (SPF). A natural skin lightener that you can use while pregnant is phyto (Skinceuticals makes one). It is always smart to ask your OB as well, but that is what we recommended for our patients at a couple different Plastic surgeons offices. Hope this helps!
I am 26, I have combination skin, and mild acne. I want to use products that combat acne and are good for anti-aging. It seems that products specialize exclusively in either or, but not both. Any suggestions?
You might want to check out the Olay and Aveeno. I think they both have products for anti-aging combined with acne treatment. Go to their websites on the internet.
I have pretty oily skin like many teens and right now I don’t do much to care for my skin. I just wash with soap and water, but that’s about it. I don’t know much skin care, so can you please help me?
I want to take good care of my skin but not spend too much time or money. Thanks for your help =]
take this from someone who knows alot about skin, you should always cleanse, tone and moisturize young skin especially teen skin-which is why i try to do those important 3 at night before i sleep, you’re supposed to do it night and day but thats so much hassle and thats how your products run out quicker than just applying it at night, it’s better at night because then your skin absorbs it all whilst you sleep, you should try the body shop they do a whole 5-6 peice set for 12 pounds on how to cleanse tone and moisturise using natural products that really work, or you could try tesco or superdrug and find loads of products and skin washes like neutrogena which is one of the best, witch is also supposedly really good for oily skin and the t-zone the scrubs usualyl cost 2-3 pounds and just use a normal moisturizer for your face that you may already have like nivea face cream, and also usually the facial scrubs usually have a toner in them so look out for 1 that has 2 in them if not all 3
remember for great healthy skin cleanse tone and moisturize to get rid of blackheads and open up pores!!
hope this answers ur Q!
