Alright, I’m a teenager, and has been suffering from acne for about 2 years now. I’m asian, specifically korean, have oily skin, and I’m currently on Obagi. And it doesn’t seem to solve my problem. I’ve tried proactiv, all the stuff in OTC products, and I’m thinking about accutane. I know the side effects or what not, but I’m wondering if I should really make a big deal out of this, and try this medication. And, I have mild acne. I don’t have cystic, or nodule acne. I just have a lot of blemishes, acne scars, whiteheads that grow every night, and blackheads, and red bumps.

PLEASE HELP. ):

My gf has purchased accutane online without prescription and cured her acne in 3 months! She was on 30 mg tablets. You’ d better to consult with your doctor anyway, cause accutane might have some side effects. Also when you are taking accutane, do not smoke. It is not recommended! I am sure you will cure it easily, it is just a matter of time.
oh…here is the link, it might help , if you do not have a nice insurance.

I have had clear skin most of my life, but within the last year I’ve gotten acne on my forehead and a little on my chin and my nose is often just slightly red. It got irritated with all the products and I have a few scars remaining on my lower forehead. I’ve tried the Obagi Clenziderm acne kit and it made no difference. I’ve heard Exposed is an effective brand and that the Acnepril supplement can work pretty well too.

Go to the store and get Cortizone 10.It will help stop acne.

Soak a cotton ball in warm salt water. Press on top of blemish for 3 minutes to dissolve the top. Then, dab a bit of honey on the affected area to deep clean the pore and draw out bacteria. Let it sit for 10 minutes.

One thing you should do is change your pillow case(s) every day. That way you won’t get any oil or dirt on your face again.

"Proactiv®" has also proven to be useful in some circumstances, though for some people it doesn’t work.

If you ever pop a whitehead and you have "Proactiv®", put a dab of Revitalizing Toner on the popped zit. This should help clear it.

Apply some sudocrem to your spots, This helps them.

Use shampoo! suave professionals biobasics for damaged hair is a good example. its cheap and you have a lot of it, and at the same time it gets rid of all the oil and grease, helping zits fade. however, many shampoos contain lauryl sulfates which can damage your skin.

Bye…

I am 34 years old and I am starting to notice small lines developing. So I want to start with an anti aging skin care product line or routine. Can someone tell me what they are using or what you recommend and your results.

The best anti aging skin care products that you can use is the ones you make at home for yourself. I use to use Cellex C products and now I have been making my own version at home for 1/4 the price! I tell all my friends to make thier own products since the results are up to 5x’s better than any store bought brand you can buy. You have full control of how much of the active ingredients you want to add.

My skin has never been better. There is a great resource for recipes and ingredient recommendations below:

I’m very curious to know how many people really understand how important ingredients are in cosmetics and skin care. Everything we put on our bodies gets absorbed into the blood stream and cause illness/diseases/even cancers. We get what we pay for and this is not an area to look for cheap products. What do you think?

no one knows.

GET THE WORD OUT THERE.

I’ve heard that when it comes to skin care, you need to use essential oils (not base oils). What’s the difference between the two? I’ve been using Jojoba oil but I think I want to switch it around a bit. What’s better for facial skin care, combination skin? There’s jojoba, almond, grape seed, tea tree, sunflower seed, coconut, etc.

Overall, the effects of essential oils may be divided into two basic groups. Some essential oils have actual physical effects. For example, eucalyptus oil can be inhaled to help clear sinuses and the respiratory tract. This would obviously relieve some symptoms of an upper respiratory infection (URI). Some oils may be used topically (directly on the skin, where they would usually be absorbed by the body, or on a wound) to possibly relieve swelling or fight certain infections.

You can read more about various oils here:

I am not looking for actual skin care products to use because at the moment I have been using Obagi Clenzi Derm MD for my ungodly terrible acne and it is actually clearning up fantastically! But it has been three months and it isn’t even close to flawless yet:( So is there any home remedies for maybe additional help with this? Like something to do after I wash it to clear it up a bit for school. Also, since about July I have had this really red acne scar above my lip on the left side of my mouth where, before I had the scar, the biggest zit I have ever had laid… and now this stupid scar has been there and it is soo hard to cover it up cuz my stuff doesn’t really work and it also comes off during the day so is there anything for that to besides loads of time? lol. Also if u already tried stuff and it worked great please share ur experience!! omg sorry this is soo long! thank you so much everyone tho!!

Drink Lots of water!! It helps me.
Don’t go into the sun if you don’t have to, if you do wear sunscreen.
Wash your face regularly, exercise, ect.
Be healthy~

What with Gillette trying to get into the products for men’s skin range with their ridiculous "refueling" campaign (heaven forbid men might need to look after their skin just like women …) it’s got me wondering is there actually a need for "men’s" exfoliant and "women’s" exfoliant. Why not just universal products for both men and women. Is this simply a marketing ploy that exposes our need to be separate and appear more masculine? Is there genuine science behind L’Oreal for Men that separate products from plain old L’Oreal?

because woman have hormonal issues that make them break out more (that isn’t ment to be rude). Also woman typically wear makeup which clog pores and need to be cleaned out with harsher washes which can lead to more break outs. Men also have facial hair which, to a certain extent, can divert break outs. lastly there are our genetics which can make our skins vary between genders.

I want to study cosmetology, but I’m more interested in skin care. I know cosmetologists get paid like 6 an hour, but how much does a skin care specialist get paid??

An hourly rate completely depends on who you are working for and what the terms of your employment are. For example, if you rent your own space and are doing simple european facials, you can generally charge between $65 and $150 per hour depending on where you are located (nowhere, Virginia or New York City). If you own the space, this is all yours - do 4 a day and you have yourself a nice $100,000 per year job. If you enter into a "split" agreement with a spa or clinic owner, you may get a 50% split of whatever you do, so the same facial, you will get $35 to $75 for each treatment. The difference here is that you have no expenses or overhead to deal with.

Lastly, if you have specialty equipment like a LipoMax, or DermaPod machine, for example, you can charge a LOT more for each treatment - well into the hundreds. Also- you can set up repeat treatments to get a much higher average customer value.

-I have acne scarring(little holes in my face) and sometimes oily skin.
- i’m a teen, and for some reason there’s crevices(wrinkles maybe) on my fore head
-i get alot of blackheads

WHAT ARE SOME GOOD DRUGSTORE skin products I COULD BUY TO HELP MY FACIAL SKIN BECOME NORMAL ?

Heya

If you still have problem with Acne then use Clean and Clear products ( Advantage acne control kit or Blackhead eraser ).

Forehead wrinkles are mostly caused by sun exposure and lack of nutrients and vitamins in your diet. Visit to a spa once every month will help tremendously. And for acne scarring, check this : http://dermatology.about.com/cs/acnescars/a/acnescars.htm -it’s very useful.

For blackheads - You can use St. Ives Apricot Scrub, I use it and it works for me. You can try using it but since we all have different types of skin it may not work. But no harm in trying, right? And it’s good for oily skin too. I find using face packs helps in oily skin.

Hope it helps :)

Can you recommend some good skin products for greasy/spotty skin? I don’t have full on acne just some spots and the occasional breakout. Looking for something under 15 pounds preferably.

Hi
My friend suffered from acne and tea tree just didnt touch it. Try something with Salicylic acid it is especially helpful in treating acne because of its ability to penetrate the follicle. It encourages the shedding of dead skin cells from within the follicle, helping keep the pores clear of cellular debris. In this way, it reduces the number of pore blockages and breakouts on the skin.

Over-the-counter salicylic acid products are found in strengths ranging from .5% to 2%. Typical use consists of a once-daily application. Of course, follow all directions printed on the package.

Depending on your preference, begin by using either salicylic acid pads or a salicylic acid lotion, cream, or gel. Do not use both. Using several salicylic acid products will excessively dry the skin, and will not clear acne any faster. After the skin is sufficiently clear, a salicylic acid wash or scrub can often be used in place of gels or pads to maintain clear skin.
